She will be there waiting, knowing she did a good job of preparing you even though it might’ve not been as long as she wanted, a solid base is a solid base, ya know…

The health (physical & mental) warriors I’ve been able to know at least a little all seem to have a real perseverance in their DNA… they & you know, there’s a reason for some of the dark days… reflection both past and future is all these days are good for 🤷🏼

This was really well written Hannah ✊🏼

This is beyond truthful- I relate to this on so many levels. I always find it interesting the little moments that continue to shape us, sometimes more than the big. As a daughter of loss I too have a very similar mindset but working on letting go of the what ifs and simply just accepting the bigger picture in this journey called life.

Aw thank you, Steph. I agree. 🤍🤍 hate that you also know what it’s like but glad I’m also not alone 🫶

Beautifully written, Hannah 🤍

I love that you see her in your reflection, I'm sure there are other parts of her within you as well. I believe that she has been with you, walking beside you, seeing you through the hard times, giving you strength.

I also love that beautiful smile of yours, it lights up the world around you, and shows your internal optimism and joy 💖

You are right where you need to be at this very moment in God’s plan for you. Your mama is looking down on you with pride at your loving heart, bravery, and compassion.

You will see her again but in the meantime, you have the gift of sharing your experience through writing and thus helping others along the way. And that will come back to you tenfold. ❤️

So beautiful and so true — I hope my mother is the first I see. I hope she is at peace. I hope for all we are taught to hope for. I hope for cures to diseases so that I don’t lose anyone else because now I am the elder and they are too young and that’s not the order that life is supposed to follow. I hope miracles are real.

Those moments of demarcation keep coming: Before and After. And I, too, brace myself daily for the next shoe to fall. It’s not the way to live but I’m working and learning - slowly, to let go my grip that, in the end is not a grip but a futile grasp; trying to hold a time that won’t return: Before. You’re right — it is an entire sky; impossible blues as well as clouds.

Thank you for sharing yourself in such a tender, honest way. May today’s sky be nothing but a brilliant, cloudless blue to call back when the clouds appear.

Though a sad story of grief, you've turned it inot such a positive and inspirational message. You write beautifully. Your mother would surely be proud. My mother's mother died when she (my mother) was 12 and I know it profoundly affected her. Sadly, she did not have your insight, but she was a wonderful mom.

I identify with this so much. I am very familiar with that dark cloud that follows you around, and I love the thought of remembering that it's part of a larger sky.

You are that plus sign, the beauty in these words that you wrote comes out from the beauty and strength in you 💛

Plus is always better than minus. I love your post, but there is a flip side you forgot. What other people think of you. I personally love you, but other people could be just so-so about it or they could be as adamant as I am that we have always preferred you over sliced bread and jam and always will. That’s just the way it is and don’t you forget it.
