Welcome to my Inner Monologue

Hello!

Thank you for being here, for whatever reason. This page started during a period of extreme distress in my life. I had been trying to have a child and it ended with a stage III cancer diagnosis. This writing has mostly been my need to process big life events but to my surprise, it has also turned into a community of incredible people. Ones who have walked similar roads or are here to encourage and lift those of us struggling.

Sometimes it’s sad, because that is a reality for me in the moment and sometimes it’s trying to see the silver lining in it all. Mostly it’s just me, expressing the human experience in the modality of writing. It’s sharing my thoughts, my Inner Monologue. If you’re here, hi and welcome!

A bit about me!

I love the outdoors. On a good day, I am out camping or hiking. I grew up on the water so anywhere near a body of water, brings me joy. In the summer, spring and fall you’ll usually find my husband, dog and I somewhere outside.

My background is in Finance but I am working on exploring my creative side (like writing on here!)

I lost my mom when I was 9 and it impacted me in every way imaginable. I carry her with me and am proud to be her daughter.

I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer at 32. I lost my reproductive system and I am navigating all that comes with having cancer at a young age.

I love connecting with people and learning about their stories. Community through hardship has truly kept me standing in the darkest moments on my life. I am forever inspired by people’s kindness.

Thank you!

If you are here reading, thank you from the bottom of my heart. It’s odd to be so vulnerable to people I have never met but I am learning it’s helping and healing. All your likes and comments bring joy and connection so thank you!

Support

Some of you have asked ways to support. I feel so incredibly blessed to have the means to navigate through the financial stressors that come with cancer with the support of my family. But if you’d like to buy me a tea or coffee, I created a link below. Donating blood is also an amazing, vital way to help people with cancer!
